Ice is nice when it appears in a tall drink served on a Cruise Ship in the Carribbean...
Or on the WARM sand on Labadee!
Or even when used to soothe the headache as a result of the above!
While admiring the beauty of the ice, we are also made aware of the damage it causes. . The Pine Tree, that we planted 35 years ago has sustained a lot of weather damage.
It is plain to see that my "Solar Clothes Dryer" will need a bit of defrosting.
The Japanese Maple in the back yard looks beautiful, but the bird feeder hanging from it is waiting for the birds to return.
The rhododendron will probably not make it through this winter.
This Barberry plant (one of the few the deer will not eat!) shows its colors. A splash of RED in the monochromatic sea of ice. This is what the TV looks like when there is 'weather' in the area, and the satellite signal is affected.
And finally Petey's comment on the weather in general, the ice specifically, the interrupted satellite signal and being confined to quarters. Ahhh....a dog's life!!!
The ice is here too, covering all of my plants. I had a hard time just getting outside down my stone back steps. How did you do get out? Lori
